In the Jizzakh region, during a routine inspection raid, employees of the regional Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change identified an instance of damage to the plant world.

During the raid, it was established that a resident of the Urgut district of the Samarkand region, citizen Y.Zh., illegally uprooted two juniper bushes on the territory of the Jizzakh reservoir.

These actions violate the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On the Protection and Use of the Plant World." An administrative protocol was drawn up against the offender. In accordance with Article 79 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, a fine of 25 base calculation units, amounting to 9.3 million soums, was imposed on the offender, and the damage caused to nature was assessed at 7.5 million soums. Both payments were fully recovered in favor of the state.

The Ministry of Ecology reminds everyone: every instance of harm to nature entails strict liability. Protecting the environment is the duty of every citizen.
