- Providing women with permanent, well-paid jobs is one of the priorities of state policy," said Komila Kavlonova, deputy regional administrator. - Last year we conducted a survey of more than 800 thousand women over 30 years old in districts and cities by questionnaire method. As a result of the survey, 109,506 women in 6 categories were included in the "women's notebook" on the basis of decisions of the relevant sessions of district and city councils, in accordance with the regulations. Practical assistance was provided to women, for which 69.5 billion sums were allocated from the national and local budgets and other sources. In addition, 12,465 women received a profession, 3,742 received subsidies, and 4,708 received soft loans and subsidies worth 30.3 billion soums to start their own businesses.
There are 1,063 mahalla gatherings of citizens in the region. "Makhalla Seven" together with sectors conducts apartment rounds to study women's problems in all districts.
- Of the 3,510 residents of our district, 1,776 are women, 652 of whom are over 30," said Sadokat Boymatova, an activist with the Yangi Hayot mahalla in Buvaida District. - Last year, 105 women were included in the "women's notebook". All of them received the necessary assistance.
Umidakhon Rakhmonova, a resident of Yangi Hayot mahalla, was also included in the "women's notebook" because she was unemployed. She received sewing training at the Ishga Markhamat monocenter. After that she was provided with a sewing machine on the basis of a subsidy. Now U. Rakhmonova earns a good income.
Another resident of this mahalla, Gavkhar Mamajonova, was included in the "women's notebook" during the study. She was given a loan to open a home-based confectionery shop.
- I opened my own business and earn a good income, and 10 other women are employed," Gavkhar Mamajonova said. - We supply products to the local market, as well as Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya and Jizzak oblasts.
In short, noble initiatives contribute to supporting women in need.
