Zahidov Botir Erkinovich
Biography
Born in 1982 in Tashkent. Graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute in 2003, and later continued his education at the Banking and Finance Academy, earning his diploma in 2008.
He began his career in 2003 at Asaka Bank. From 2005 to 2009, he headed a department within the bank’s Foreign Economic Relations Department. After moving to the Central Bank, he served as Head of the Special Department responsible for foreign exchange operations. On 26 May 2019, he was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank’s Board.
On 19 September 2022, he was appointed Head of the Shaykhantakhur District Administration of Tashkent. A year later, on 23 September 2023, he was appointed Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction. Following the formation of the new government approved by the Legislative Chamber on 21 November 2024, he retained this position.
