Biography
Ulugbek Mavlonovich Mustafoyev was born on August 14, 1968, in Jizzakh region.
In 1991, he graduated from the Tashkent Institute of National Economy with a degree in Finance and Credit. From 1992 to 2003, he worked at the Jizzakh regional branch of Promstroybank, first as a specialist and later as a senior specialist.
From 2003 to 2010, he served as a senior economist and later head of the cash circulation department within the Foreign Exchange Operations Directorate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Over the years, he held various positions in government bodies, including First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank from 2010 to 2016.
In 2016, he was appointed Deputy Hokim of Jizzakh region for economic and social development, the service sector, and entrepreneurship. From June 2017, he served as Chairman of the Board of Uzbekenergo JSC, and after its restructuring in 2019, he became head of Regional Electric Networks JSC. In August 2024, while in this position, he was awarded the honorary title “Honored Industrial Worker of Uzbekistan.”
On December 19, 2024, he was appointed Hokim of Jizzakh region.
